Today is the 6th of January and I know that most of you are thinking that I am a little late. That is only true by society standards. I am actually right on time in my book. I am not one to follow rules so this is just another case in point. I am not really into making resolutions for the New Year. I know a ton of people who do and I think that it is a great thing if you want to participate. I just do not wish to take part in it. I did however ask my kids last night what they wanted for the New Year and their answers were quite colorful. Brailyn wants to get a cell phone and also she said she will try to be nicer to her sister. Keagin said he thinks he is going to play football for the new year and he wants to learn to count to 1000. Graycin was not so eager to set any goals for herself (like mother like daughter i suppose) but when I said I really thought she should think about it she finally said she was going to work on being a rockstar. As all this was going on Rylan was just running around getting into everything so the other kids collectively decided he should try to stay out of things this year. I silently thought that there is no chance of that and the worst is yet to come.
As far as me and Jason go I am not sure what to say about what we have planned for the new year. I know that for myself I plan to take more time for myself and spend less time worrying about people and things that do not matter. Life is meant to be lived and enjoyed and unfortunately I think I have let others mess that up for me. I sometimes let other people and their foolishness get me down. So if I were to make a resolution which I am not it would simply be to live my life my way .
Jason says he just wants us to all be happy and he wants to make lasting memories with the kids this year.
I think that is important as well and I know we will do our best.

- I am a SAHM mom of four wild and wonderful kids. I am married to the love of my life. We are on opposite ends of the spectrum on some things but that is what makes us fit together so perfectly. He says he brings his country side to the table to balance out my city girl. I say I brought a little real world to him. Whatever though it all worked out and here we are. We are two people trying to make the best of it. We are raising our four (one more on the way) kids the best way we can and having a little fun along the way. I hope you enjoy taking the ride with us.
